Breakfast

Our ingredients are local and fresh wherever possible.

The eggs are free range from a local farm – Ngatamahine Gold. As the hens are both grass and grain feed the yolks are very yellow, when compared to the eggs of battery-raised hens.

The bacon is dry cured the traditional way.

The blue berries we use are grown in Te Awamutu and frozen when fresh. They have no added sugar.

The honey is produced by a Te Kuiti apiarist from beehives in the local native bush (bush and manuka honeys available). Our jams are from Ananthoth, a Nelson based producer. The jams are at least 50% fruit.

Hubbard’s produce all our cereals; a family owned NZ producer known for its innovative approach to cereals.

Our coffee is ground on the premises from organically grown beans.

Vegetarian breakfasts are available and chicken rashers can be substituted for bacon.

On the menu:

  • Cereals with in season NZ fruit
  • Porridge
  • Fruit bread and preserves
  • Bacon and eggs
  • Eggs benedict
  • French toast with bacon, banana, and maple syrup
  • French toast with berries (a specialty)
